I attended and spoke at Titanium USA held in Austin October 6-8. The most pertinent takeaways:
- Overall, the tone of the conference was upbeat
- In the long term, demand for titanium from aerospace and other markets will remain strong
- In the near term, there are pockets of soft demand for titanium in the aerospace market due to lower than anticipated production rates
- Concerns about impact of Russia-Ukraine / migrating away from VSMPO seemed to have lessened
